The Egyptian goddess Maat, the personification of balance. The outline I traced from a photo of the a wall carving on the exterior of the tomb of Queen Nefertari, favorite queen of Rameses II. The colors came from a fresco inside the same tomb. In both cases, the photos depicted public domain art (the original carving and fresco were created approximately 3,250 years ago, well before anybody conceived of copyright). Since simple reproductions of existing public domain art do not qualify for copyright, they're fair game for derivative works.
